Our History

About Cloud Armory: A Bit About Us, Our History, and Mission

Cloud Armory was established in January 2024 as demand for Arcane’s managed cloud services solution grew beyond simple uptime monitoring. Now a partially owned subsidiary of Arcane LLC, Cloud Armory offers AWS Managed Services and Cybersecurity aimed at supporting the performance, stability, and security needs of high-sensitivity data dependent organizations, namely FinTech.

Founded in 2018, Arcane LLC originally set out to provide Managed Services primarily for ecommerce hosting until late 2023 when Cloud Armory co-founder and US Army veteran, Staff Sergeant Graylon Hampton, joined forces with Arcane LLC founder, Mike Ricotta.

As an organically grown organization, our client services division remains an integral part of our services. As we look toward the future, Cloud Armory looks to develop its R&D division with network security and IaC offerings across mid-sized and enterprise business segments.

Meet Management

Graylon Hampton, COO

Graylon Hampton is co-founder and COO of Cloud Armory. A CompTIA Security+ certified cybersecurity professional, Graylon's 4 years at InvestCloud and 3 years in government network engineering speak volumes of his experience. If that's not enough, Staff Sergeant Graylon Hampton is also a 20 year cybersecurity expert in the US Army (nice ring to it, right?). Graylon lives in Clearwater, FL with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys the outdoors and live music and the company of family and friends.

Michael Ricotta, President

With 2 decades of industry experience, Michael Ricotta is a veteran in operations. As Director of Technology for Axxiem Web Solutions and EVP of Technology for Blue Fountain Media, Michael built and managed teams from startup through acquisition ranging from 2 to 200, spanning 10 countries, and 20+ spoken languages. Michael's success is evident in his history of building teams and applications through acquisition by companies like Litera and Blackstone. Notable for his hands-on re-defining of standard operating procedures and automation, Michael is an industry innovator. In addition to co-founding Skipwish.com and Memri.ai, Michael is founder of Arcane Strategies and co-founder of Cloud Armory. His workflow models for resource allocation, estimation, and employee quality control continue use at other agencies to this day. Since 2013, Michael has also been a public figure in the industry, appearing on television networks such as CNBC, Fox Business, and Bloomberg. His media appearances and interviews for publications such as CIO magazine and Business Insider may be found on this site. Michael Ricotta is an alumnus of The College of The Holy Cross and accomplished athlete. He was born in New York, enjoys playing guitar and football, and considers himself a t-shirt enthusiast. Michael believes in a moral obligation for leadership to promote positive workforce values and accountability.
